MEET YOUR HOSTS
Hello!
We are Sofia and Simon, two nature enthusiasts who left the city behind to embrace the beauty and calm of the Swedish countryside.
Both of us are trained wilderness guides, and Simon has worked with nature tourism his entire career. When we are not out on adventures, we love to spend time in the garden, growing crops and tend to our chickens.
THE STORY OF POSTEN B&B
The story begins in the year 1880 when the main house on our property was built. This building later served as the local post office during the 1900s. The elderly in the village still remember the smell of ink from their visits to the postal office with their parents, and there have been rumors about an attempted armed robbery in the 1930s, carried out by the infamous gang of crooks known as "Sala-ligan." In the picture to the left you can see Elin Petterson (owner of the post office) with Karl Englund (postman).
Since the post office closed, the property has been used as a private residence. However, the history of the post office remains alive today through Posten B&B and the various relics from that time.
